The cover photo for this issue of Town Creek Poetry is of the Walker Sister Cabin located in the Great Smokey Mountians National Park. It was built in the mid 1800s. After the National Park was established in 1930, the Walker family was granted a lifetime lease. The cabin was occupied by the Walker sisters until the final sister passed away in 1964. The Walkers were well-known for adhering to a nineteenth-century Appalachian lifestyle. Photo taken by Kitty Morris in the fall of 2014.
